Introduction
To further empower you in managing COD (Cash on Delivery) risks, we offer advanced geographic-level blocking options. With this feature, you can block COD orders based on specific pin codes, cities, states, or even countries that are known to have high Return to Origin (RTO) rates.
This guide will walk you through how to use each of these options to proactively reduce your RTO and improve order reliability.
How to Block COD Orders by Pincode, City, State, or Country
The process to block locations across all four levels is exactly the same. Here's how to do it:
1. Navigate to the Location-Based Blocking Settings
Go to:
- Settings → Smart COD Blocking → Pincode Blocking
- Settings → Smart COD Blocking → City Blocking
- Settings → Smart COD Blocking → State Blocking
- Settings → Smart COD Blocking → Country Blocking
Choose the level of blocking based on your requirement.
2. Enter the Locations You Want to Block
You can add one or multiple entries depending on what you want to block — whether it’s specific pincodes, cities, states, or countries.
3. Click Block
Once you've entered the values, click the “Block” button. All orders with COD selected from these locations will now be blocked automatically.
How to Unblock Locations
1. Enter the Locations to Unblock
If you want to allow COD again for a previously blocked pin-code, city, state, or country, re-enter those values in the same input area.
2. Click Unblock
Click “Unblock” and those locations will be removed from the block list, enabling COD for them again.
View Blocked Locations
To view all currently blocked pin-codes, cities, states, or countries:
- Click the Download button in the respective section
- A file will be downloaded showing all currently blocked entries for that category
Smarter COD control starts with smarter geography management — block risky locations and reduce returns, all in just a few clicks.
